On March 10, 2018 Black women from all over San Diego convened in Southeast San Diego to do what Black women do best, advocate for ourselves. Declaring our demands to the world, we centered our experiences and committed to creating a lasting movement in our city to improve the lives of Black women and girls. This year in addition to the march (which will take place on Harriet Tubman Day, Sunday March 10th, 2019) we will be having an inaugural summit: Black Women Save My Life on Saturday March 9, 2019 to discuss pressing issues, strategize on how to operate in our best interest, and celebrate the strength and vulnerability of Black womanhood.
